I learnt a great deal about filmmaking, its language and its tools. I use the tools of the cinema in my photography.
Composition, structure, rhythm, establishing shots, close-ups, point of view, montage, colour, dissolves, subtitles, eyelines, soft focus, super imposition and the idea of scenes. Together they make stories.
We all need stories. Stories help us make sense of our world, stories that may be brief
or extended; simple or complex.
I tell stories.
I like to see myself as a storyteller.
